You must admit, though, that that isn't a lot considering the lack of base content at launch.
I love this Game. I wouldn't have spent money for it if I didn't have at least a little faith in Cryptic to generate more content, but I am a bit dissapointed with the lack of speed with which new content will likely come out.
That said, it seems that Cryptic's strategy is to focus on fixing game issues before pursuing new content at full impulse. A wise change in power scheme if you ask me.
You can't throw everything out at once. Honestly, I can't play this game 24/7. Right now there's more than enough content for me! I have a job and a family. lol

Ditto, there is more to life than a game, we all have responsibilities, only hit Commander level 6six last night after head start.
I am in this game since the Open Beta and played in the Head Start as well. Today I am Lt. Commander L5 and still a lot of content. I am happy with the game because I just play 5 hours a week or so because there is something out there called Real Life :-)

So the key to not running out of stuff to do is not to play very much. My god. What were we thinking! We've all been playing too much. -.-

I work and commute 50 hours a week have family and other commitments and have run out of content. I can't speak to why your not very far along but I can comment on there not being much content.
As to how this compares with other games, let's take EQ2, I beta'd it and was there at launch. With the same work and commitments...more or less. It took me close to 12 months to get through the intitial content. So please, don't tell me I'm playing too much or don't have a life. It was a very shallow release.
When WoW was first released, it was way more buggy than STO. However, after playing a character, I could start an alt and see COMPLETELY DIFFERENT CONTENT at least once. And after that, there were various corners and questlines I could do that were easily missed the first time.
Right now, if I play a second Fed character? My abilities are a little different, my ship is different, and some of the random generated stuff will be randomly differently named.
That's a content problem.
(The same is true of Vanguard, LOTRO, and I think EQII, though it's been a while. Heck, Asheron's Call had more content.)

While I like the game and find the content we have to be awesome, I do agree that a mission tree designed towards proffession would be a step forward. Something that is offered due to your profession in addition to the regular storyline missions.

oh
i assume you missed the part were it was supposed to already out as of 2/24/2010 but has been shelved with no update
Apparently 'weeks' in the future are measured differently.
Honestly, I think they'd be better off releasing content BEFORE fixing bugs.
Logged in and did 2 dailys. Queued for PVP, waited 45 minutes, didn't pop and I logged off.
Yep, plenty of content.
/sarcasm off
