How do I travel as a team?

How does this work? I don’t normally do teams, and have spent most of my time soloi’ing missions… but last night, I teamed up with a friend that I introduced to STO, and I couldn’t warp into the system with him. We were in the Delta Volanis Cluster doing the exploration stuff. He was an Lt 4 and I was using an alt at Lt 2. I was able to help him with one ‘Unknown System’ mission that he was in the middle of when I logged in and I saw a ‘Continue mission’ button. After we finished that one, he warped into another ‘Unknown System’ and it never gave me the option to warp with him or give me a ‘Continue mission’ button.

I don't think Exploration missions are Teamable right now. I tried it with a Fleetmate and we could never enter the same instance, and the 'Change Instance' button was grayed out.

I've found at times like that if he just leaves the mission and then shares it you'll both be able to enter after that. Had the same problem on a few episodes where we beamed down to a planet to went to a different system and we all had to leave and then the entire group was able to enter.

In the exploration missions it probably depends on what map it's taking you too. Some of the systems are intended to be solo'd while others are open instance and therefore teamable.

I just did Hromi Cluster the other day. The weird thing there was that all the missions were Open Instance and all the missions were non-Combat. What's the point in a team-able mission where you just go around and talk to people?
