I agree that the thread starter should use english in the english part of the forum.
It is a fact however, that Cryptic support and help in the german forums is nearly nil. They seem to me mostly a place for german speaking people to chat about sto as nearly no help by Cryptic employees is offered.
If real problems are described the cm states that she cannot help with those and that she has only limited possibilities to escalate the issues to the proper people. I wonder for some time now, what she's really there for when she cannot help anyway. The problem with ELV payment is not resolved for weeks now. Instead of pusuing this further, she implied that everyone who bought cryptic points in USD via PayPal is breaking the law... Quite a laugh for me...
So the only thing you can do is to write a ticket. Answers to these tend to take a very long time (days). Plus since the support staff only understand english, those people who are only able to talk german are lost and without help.
For me english is not a problem, obviously, and so I do not need that, but if Cryptic wants to keep the customers without knowledge of the english language they should provide at least minimal support in their language.
Yes, I know, a german phone hotline does exist, but that is either busy or reconnects to an english language support.
Nope, sorry, Google translate and Babelfish is only suitable in very few cases, as far too often the meaning of the translated content is not carried over by those horrible auto-translation software or they just translate plain wrong.
Now I'm mad. You are able to tell this guy within 1 hour after thread creation that he has to say something in english to get help or use german forums.
My 2 threads (one vanished mysteriously) didn't get any answer at all from you.
U know the german forum is not supported for any technical help ?
Sometimes i really ask me, why u dunno ure own rules and bugs.
Nor are the english support forums. Technically it's all peer-to-peer. If you want offical tech support, you need to file a ticket. Coderanger, personally, posts here on his time. It's not really official support.
