Well looks like he bought it from Alienwear so my guess is he probably payed atleast twice the amount its acttualy worth :P
still its not a bad rig though
I'd really like to know how much the OP paid for it...... I reckon from Alienware you're looking at $1500.
Other companies will do a i7 920 (liquid cooled), 12Gb 1600mhz DDR3, GTX275 and 2 TB HDD for just over $1500 - you do pay for the Alienware (Dell) name.
But building a computer, while being much cheaper, can be a daunting task for someone who has never done it before. Luckily, when I built my first one, I had a friend who was able to help and guide me along. In the end it was fun and I learned a ton, now I'll prolly never buy a completed computer ever again.

Strangely (and I've said this in these very forums), after building all my PC's for years, I wouldn't bother doing it again.
Once you get above a certain value, it's actually more cost effective to get a specialist company to do it for you. With mine I priced it up and found that I could buy it fully assembled and with 3 years warranty for cheaper than I could buy the parts.
I also got free delivery, games, a t-shirt and (wierdly) a laptop bag thrown in.

Sounds like you found a great shop. Going back on my statement, I imagine a time will come when I'm just too tired/busy to be bothered with finding parts and building. I don't even bother upgrading my current system until its so-obviously dated.
Nice system I still find it cheaper to build my own, which I just did...
AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE @ 4.1Ghz
ASUS M4A79T Deluxe MB
8GB Corsair PC3-10666 Mem (8-8-8-22)
ATI Radeon 5850
Corsair H50 Liquid Cooling
OCZ Vertex 32GB SSD
Hitachi 7200/64 2TB Hard Dive
Ultra 750W X4 Power Supply
Gateway FX2300 23" 1080P Monitor
All for about 1500 can't beat that, eats small page files for breakfast :P
Still have some more OCing to try, Runs at 4.2 but not quite stable, yeah what's 100 mhz, but I just like to push it to see what it'll do "Well fly her apart then!"

What size monitor(s) are you using? Are you using onboard sound?
still its not a bad rig though
