Nvidia Driver

Hey everyone. I just did an update on my drivers to see if it would make the game smoother. According to the NVIDIA website scan I have the latest version of my driver NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS 195.62. Now when I run the game I get a message saying that I'm using an older version of my driver and that the game will encounter problems if I run as is.

Has anyone had this problem? Any ideas on what I should do?

I got the same message this morning, and I'm running theI same version of NVIDIA drivers on my laptop. I re-installed the drivers, but no luck. I'm going to check laptopvideo2go dot com to see if there's a newer version there I can try. What's really annoying about this is the fact that the error message is overlaid on the game and doesn't go away. Not sure when this was added, but it wasn't there last week.

I updated to 196.34 from laptopvideo2go dot com and the message went away.

One other note for the DEVs: The Outdated Video Driver error message that displays over the game screens also covers, and obscures, the Back button on the character creation screen and the Exit button on the main login screen. Can this be moved to anouther location or adjusted a bit so as to not obscure those buttons?

You ever think of checking NVIDIA's website for the latest drivers?

Yes, that did occur to me. However, I was running 195.62 which nvidia's website listed as the latest drivers for my video card and OS, and those were the drivers I was using when STO gave me the out of date error message....

Did you ever think of reading my original post all the way through? I believe I mentioned that I did in the second sentence.

I went to their website and got the 196.34 but when I tried to install it I got message saying that it's not compatible with what I currently have. It might have something to do with my OS being Japanese and yours being English. Arg :(
