I can't get past this screen. Is the server actually up? Or is there something I should know?

It's either a server problem, or something on your system is blocking the connection.

To solve it, try these hints.

On your launcher, click options then choose a proxy server to connect with and click ok.

If that fails to work, run this program with full admin rights and post the results

also note some firewalls and antivirus programs will reflag a program after a patch as needing authorization to access the net. Zone alarm is one famous for this. Also windows defender when it gets an update.

if you are getting time outs on the nettest .
    1. first make sure it is set to run as admin and is authorized by your fw and antivirus program .
if it still times out then something is blocking the ports used by the nettest and game. firewall / router or your isp or network set up if you are using a university network .

I doubt the games you list are using the same TCP ports as STO.

If you have a "timed out" result with nettest, it can't connect on that port so there is something between the nettest application and the servers blocking it.

Copy and paste the full results of the nettest to this thread please.

I have a list of items to check on my FAQ, including nettest examples and log files to look at.
