Star Trek Online Heat Hot Overheat Graphics Video Card Issue Problem Help

After losing a nice video card to overheating in STO, I decided to do some testing and get some solid info on actual temperature changes turning off some features can do for people. Your mileage may vary, but I think this is a good step towards getting some heat issues in check. I also can tell some optimizing was done with today's patch.

I am now running STO at maximum settings with a few changes:

Shadows off (dropped 5c in temperature).
Troubleshooting Frames at 30 (60 frames down to 30 frames dropped a whopping 8c. Really can't tell much difference playing the game between the two settings so why not just drop the heat?)
4x aa I leave on (only dropped 1c off).
Dynamic lighting I leave on (again only 1c in difference).
***I am leaving post processing *ON* (Turning this off actually raised my GPU temp 5c!!).***
Bloom Effects off.
Monitor Vertical Sync on.
I even have max distances set to 150.
All of these settings are relative. I expect the card to go up in temp some during fights and planets to some extent, but I can stand in SOL space dock at 66c with these settings after today's patch (02-23-10).

Edit: Screen-space ambient occlusion off (added 4c heat!).
I really don't need the perFrameSleep 10 on at all apparently (doesn't seem to add or subtract heat at 30fps).
I have a Zotac 280 GTX AMP! edition (Nvidia) card running at 1920x1200 (desktop and game in windowed mode). I feel I am getting an amazing level of detail even with these options turned off.
