Gratz on your launch STO. I waited to pick up my copy and just got it yesterday. I am a former WoW player. I decided that after dealing with their customer service twice I would spend my money elsewhere. And here we are at elsewhere. lol First impressions after 6 hours play. Surprised! No disrespect but, I read a lot of reviews and they were all well, not flattering. The customizing of characters is amazing. Although we really don't need a bust line, man mine is all the way white. The real niche I feel in the game is Space battles, and that's something that both WoW and TOR can't offer. Fighting a Borg cube on a 24in widescreen is pretty awesome. The chat is almost non-existing, but after 3 yrs. of WoW I kinda enjoy the silience. So far the game has exceeded my expectations, but then again 6 hrs. , I gotta go.

It's a good game, but at present time lacks depth and end game. I've decided to stick it out and see if Cryptic delivers on their promise of content. I am using this game as a crutch to fill the gap between when I stopped playing WOW to when Bioware finally comes out with TOR.

The combat is fun and engaging, and despite many people complaining to the contrary, ground combat can be fun and the PVP in both ground and space is fairly fun. Though lately I've found that I've been gravitating to the ground better.

When I picked up the game, I swore I would only make one toon and tweak it out, however after reaching end-game and seeing nothing to do, I've been filling my time with leveling up a science officer alt.

6 hours in a day? Whoa, pace yourself, there. You'll be Admiral in a little over a week at that pace. Spread your play time out to about 1 hour a day so you at least get your free month's worth.
