Death Penalty (simple!) PRIDE!

I couldn't find the thread to add my idea to the Death Penalty but I have one that they should already have in the game.... and its so obvious.
LIST THE NUMBER OF DEATHS IN YOUR INFO WINDOW (wtf,kills to why your at it ) and my Kill:Death ratio.
This would go after something that everyone has, PRIDE! Everyone has an ego!
Who wants someone else seeing that they have already died 120 times in the game and maybe I have only died 15 times or something. And, Yeah, it does suck when you are jumped in sector space because you are on auto pilot, and you get jumped right away, and you may not be able to get out with out a death. BUT that will happen equally to everyone! Or they can fix that too easily.

    Considering this is an mmo and MMOs tend to have missions where you're supposed to die a lot that seems like a not good thing to put in

    everyone will "die a lot" the same though. plus then it would SUCK to die. plus the people who are better or play the game with more strategy would die less than the people who weren't so good at the game or played recklessly. also this idea doesn't take away from the amount of time that you get to play the game. Having a penalty that takes you away from the game that you pay to play is kind of something that you want to get away from, which is the current format. Please think about this, If it was a blank slate now, and the two death penalty choices were 30 second respawn -or- Kill:Death ratio.Which would you choose?

    This woud also go along with star trek lore if they had a ''captain performance sheet'' or something to that effect. It could just be a tab when you right click> info on someone. That is all.

    I really like this idea!!

    That would actually really be helpful and equalize players with 24h at hand in comparison players like me with only a couple of hours a day. It also would satisfy the people who do not want to have a penalty which takes away valuable play time by having to redo certain things.

    A ratio for PVE could be Missions/Deaths (although they might not be balanced enough for such a simple measure - but I'm sure a fair one can be found)
    A ratio for PVP could be Kills vs. Deaths - as any Killboard in other MMOs does (e.g. EVE)

    While I think this is a great idea I have two main concerns.
    1st- In Enemy Contacts/deep space encounter I quite often spawn into 6-8 ships already shooting me and by the time im able to do anything about it my sheilds are done for and my hull is at 50%. So something needs to be about that, I wouldnt want those, for a lack of a better word, "unfair" deaths on my wrap sheet.
    2nd- While k/d ratios are a nice little stat to look at so many times (in other game, COD4 MW & MW2 come to mind first) people become preoccupied with the stat its self and not the game. Id be worried about the games attention turning towards " Ahhhhhh my K/D ratio is blah blah blah and so forth" and not actually playing the game. This type of thought leads to early quitters who rather than fight that "impossible boss" will quit for the sake of their K/D ratio....
    But I think the premise is a great idea, or a battle won/loss ratio, something like that...
