Simple Fixes to vastly improve end game

Problem: No reason to play after RA5 except for daily quest. Yes you have stuff in works, that is fine.. but keep in mind I finished the last "addon" borg section in under 4 hours.. that's a bit short to keep people interested

Solutions: . You have several options to increase peoples interest in actually playing their high level characters
a) Improve crafting system to include more common items dropped from MOBs that can provide items that can either boost tech somehow or produce items. Example: Each borg killed has a high chance of dropping "Borg debris" a stackable item that you can save up and take back to Sol or MemA and trade in for a chance to gain a purple/blue/green item or tokens that could increase items you allready have to a higher level (add a trait to a purple for example)

b) Improve drop system by adding more variety of purple/epic items.. these items could have diff traits etc (such as the combat engines you get from the mission that gives you +5 to all power types.. that's still the engine I use at RA5!!!!). WoW used this method.. even though they did not add end game content until months after the game relased (trust me i lived through it).. they still did have epic items that dropped from higher level mobs.. that made me WANT to login and FARM for items that could help trick out my character or at least be sold for in game currency.


c) Increase difficulty and reward of CE encounter... make it end game content only! This is super easy.. just double the HP of the thing.. make it drop RA loot..and voila.. you have an end game instance. As it stands the CE with the ramming fix in place is damn near impossible to kill without a group... and at lower levels no one wants to group.. so put it at the end where RA's are more willing to group up and fleets will finally have something to do :)

d) Increase crafting items at MemA to all different weapon types, more items.. more items.. more items. Make crafting have the ability to produce items of varying quality level.. let's say for example Photon Torp VIII comes out blue but with a slight boost over regular blues in dps.. or in one of the traits (firing speed for example) etc etc.. this will help also with item e)

e) MAKE LOOT MORE RANDOM IN STATS.. for the love of god.. the equipment loadout for ships is still so vanilla it's amusing.. put in some degree of exception for dropped items (and crafted) so that people actually can look different from one another equipment wise.

f) FIX AUCTION HOUSE.. a sort button would be nice.. this is not so much an end game thing but an overall game issue.. the system as it stands is about as archaic as you can get.. i would be embarassed to be the programmer who worked on it. Snaz it up.

    So basically you say they should make it an item centric game, yet cryptic said that the game won't be item centric... :p
