You're right, only Cryptic knows for sure. And only a very small percentage of the population even posts on the forums, let alone makes a post if/when they leave. I think the game is doing fine. Every MMO loses subscribers in the first month or so.
For starters, it is a well known fact that only a small percentage of players post on the game forums, and the majority of those are people that are unhappy with the game, as those that like it, are usually to busy playing to get on the forums. Even despite the fact that the forums are pretty negative, at the most, only a few hundred have posted they are leaving, out of more than 250k subscribers (this is an assumption, as Cryptic said they would consider 250k a success and then they said that they got more people than they expected). I did a poll here on the forums after beta. One of the questions was asking how many people would subscribe to the game. Out of nearly 400 responses, more than 50% said they would subscribe and an additional 30%+ said they would play the first month and see if how they liked it before they subscribed. So, the game has pretty decent numbers and I think it will maintain them for quite a while. Long enough for the devs to release several expansions at least.

no more than 100 and besides there is something like a million subs. not even close to that posts here
good input thank u OP
The forums are alive and jumping as they've ever been. While playing the game I see people everywhere. So no, its definitely not happening.
Im sure some are. But just as many are picking up the game and playing brand new probably. So its not a problem right now.
