5 Day Pass - How to turn into full account?

Someone gave me a 5 day pass and I've done a lot in just 3 days. So how do I turn this 5 day pass account into a full account so I can keep playing, or am I going to lose everything to have to restart or something with a new account?

Buy a copy of the game, enter the code that comes with it and sign up. :)

You should just be able to go into billing and setup a pay schedule.

Edit: And buy the game of course. :)

After you've purchased the retail game you'll need to enter a retail registry key. You can click the link in my signature to enter your key once you've purchased the game.

there is also a link on the main sto website to enter or redeem key.. just login to the website like you would these forums, click that link, and it should apply the key to your existing account so you can keep playing.

Please note you will NOT have to reload the game, so don't delete the version you're using.

To maximize your fun in the game, avoid the forums like the plague; but if you do find yourself wandering about down here in the sewers, bare in mind that only a small percentage of gamers actually post on the forums, and that angry people post more often then those who are enjoying themselves.

I thought these five day passes were to give out to friends to try the game out with? So they'd still have to go out and by the software?

Nah, you can download the game. But if you want access after the 5 days, you'll have to pay for it.

The Client is free. What your actually paying for is the account for the STO network server...

Ok, like I said I've got a friend who can't make up their mind. So do I need to send him a link to the beta download site and then tell him to let it update?

Actually it is not, STO requires signon before getting updates. Unusual for MMORPGs.

Buy the game, box or digitial download
    get the code
enter code in same place you entered 5-day pass
    your ready to go

I doubt he's going to want to try it if he's required to purchase the game first. Hence why I was asking if he could download the beta, put in the key, and then run the updates.

He doesn't have to purchase the game to try the five day key. He would have to purchase the game key and set up billing to play beyond the five day key. Is that clear enough?

Yes thank you, Does STO.com offer the download (because i'm not seeing it) or do I have to go to a third party site?
