Sarah Palin would hate this game...

... because it features some purposely TRIBBLE AI. I just LOVE missions where I have to hold their hand to make them go through a door, around a hill, up a ramp and navigate that dreaded 2 inch tall rise in the ground that seemingly requiring a single step to the right or left to avoid is just way too difficult to attempt. My suggestion is, Cryptic, make a new game called Tard Tycoon. You already have the code half way done and the world sure needs another tycoon game! Sarah Palin just raging about it would give you TONS of attention and sales!

Wow, that's not really offensive at all.

Sarah Palin would buy this game and assume the disc was intended for skeet shooting.

Away team path finding still needs a lot of work. Its gotten better since OB but its not there yet.

They especially like to get stuck on interior locations. Door ways give them fits. As well as any kind of pylon along hallways.

I usually find myself gently speaking out loud as I play, " Come on. Yes you. You can do it. Stop humping the wall. Yeees. Thats it. No. No. Come here. No dont do that. Come....HERE.....yes....thats good. "

    Anyways, yes, it needs work.

Whats funny is that your character can easily set a constant row of invisible waypoints as you walk around for the AI to follow should they get stuck. But no, indefinitely bumping into the same corner with no fallback code to try something else is what were stuck paying for :(

Well one thing I think is missing is having the BOF automatically teleport to your side if you get too far away from them. I remember Kotor doing this. Sometimes a character would get stuck and I'd barely notice because as I moved away from them, they'd just pop up by my side and everything would be okay.

This wouldnt fix the issue but it would help a little. Sometimes I get halfway across the map and one of my guys is waaaaay back there somewhere. There should be a distance limit and when you get to far away from a BO they just pop up by your side eliminating have to turn around and go back and get them.

They can and do teleport, it just takes a very long time, and sometimes it outright never happens. The code certainly is there, it just needs to be at the very least vastly sped up to help offset this garbage.

While it sucks, it's worth noting that respawning will bring your BO's back to you.

Worse is when they get stuck on a 1 foot tall step and don't hit the jump. They just run at the step and never arrive. They should have a site to site transport after a certain distance. Surely your ship in orbit can transport them to your location.

The pathfinding system, as it stands, is laughably pathetic. There's at least one mission where it's non-existent, and it still hasn't been fixed!

Thank god Cryptic gave NPC's double the jump height though. Away missions involving cargo bays would be a complete nightmare.

Surely an officer in Starfleet can manage a set of stairs. This has become extremely annoying, to the point where it noticeably lengthens my play time just to accomplish simple missions.

Oh well, I'm sure it will be fixed in the coming months.

Sarah Palin would hate this game because you can't shoot Targs from a starship.

Rush Limbaugh would love it though.

I don't understand why people keep calling Tina Fey 'Sarah Palin'. I mean, it was Tina Fey who said she could see Russia from her house, NOT Sarah Palin.

I miss the good ole days when people were judged by what THEY said, not by what someone else did.

I have no problem with the AI pathing. Eventually they always get up no matter how hard I try to lose them.

To be fair, if we judge Sarah on what she says, we still have a lot to judge her on. :D

I also have little trouble with the pathfinding. It's certainly better than that of the Lore Master pets in LotRO.

To be fair, at least she isnt the Commander in Chief and calling his own medics..Navy 'Corpse-man' ..not once..not twice..but Three times. But thats what you get when you get an empty suit reading off a paper everynight. I'm sure Momma Nancy and Daddy Harry grounded him for a week after that blunder.

I miss the good ol' days when people didn't try and toss in their political angst into every facet of a discussion.

Palin + Trek, really OP? The people who hate this crazy lady seem to be more into her than the ones who like her, kinda like a chick who keeps going back to the boyfirend who verbally abuses her. Good job media and complainers for continuing this disfunctional relationship - she'd have been long gone by now if you hadn't made her so popular.

Really, it depends on you're a fan of literal versus metaphorical interpretations. All of the "keeping an eye on..." and "just over the border..." really feels like no one played her wrong.
