T4 Celestial Saucer Section

Is it just me or does the Celestial saucer seem a bit unfiinished?

On most of the roundish saucers the ship registry numbers and the ship name curve to contour the lines of the saucer beautifully.

However the ship name on the celestial saucer is just straight slapped on like a bumper sticker. Tthe UoP logos also seem kinda large and overlap onto windows. The underside is also missing the ship registry number as well.

Nit picky. But fixing those three small things would really snazz it up a lot.

The underside of the saucer looks horrible IMO. It looks completely unfinished. Don't these Cruiser saucers have windows on the top and bottom? It sure seems like they would.

I think it looks great from the top, but awful on the underside.

I'm always surprise by the terribly low quality of the finish of all ships.

Like if nobody were reviewing those mesh.

Does Cryptic need a Technical Director? :)

Indeed, the model quality of the T4 cruisers leaves much to be desired. Almost every component has some more or less obvious flaws - although I have to admit that, for example, I was perfectly happy with my Galaxy Class starship until someone in the forum pointed the two major "construction flaws" out.

Bottom line: yes, those designs need a lot of re-polishing, to say the least. But one can have a lot more fun if one doesn't always look too closely on such details.

Well, it's your ship, and you pass a lot of time looking at it.
