Better Not Charge Cryptic Points for Respecs

You'd better not charge Cryptic points for respecs, after the following quote from the article linked on the front page regarding skills:
All ship skills will grant some bonus to the ship above it. So an Assault Cruiser will benefit from Starship Captain, Cruiser Captain, Heavy Cruiser Captain, Exploration Cruiser Captain and Assault Cruiser Captain, but it will get the most benefit from Assault Cruiser Captain Skill. So if you want to maximize your Assault Cruiser, you will need all those skills.

Destroying people's skill point allocation by drastically changing the skills and skill tree and then charging real money to counter said, would be ridiculous, if not downright unethical. Especially if changes like this will be occuring every few months, if not more frequently.

This has been discussed many times. There will be an in-game means of respec'ing, not requiring the C-Store.

This does not alleviate any misgivings. Why would anyone pay real money to respec unless they make the in-game process so horrendous that people grab their wallets out of frustration.

EXACTLY. Ive already heard that a respec in CO costs horrendous amounts of resources. And thats to a game that was released with a very funky skill system, where some powers were useless, but there was no way to tell. Whole guides were released on the net of what powers were worth a darn and what ones were decent, because the game sure didnt tell you.

Also, they changed constantly. The devs kept making updates and a power that was amazing yesterday is suddenly useless today. So you had to respec. But the game made it so nearly impossible to do that some players actually started over......SEVERAL TIMES.......just to get things right.

Because some people have the money and its a quick means, instead of griding in game currancy if ones want to repec multiple times.

Please stop trying to make a big deal out of a none issue.

COs in-game respec cost USED TO BE horrendous. They fixed it, before also offering the C-Store option along side it. They also hand out free respecs with any significant change.

    Quit the scaremongering, please.
