Devs: The state of DSEs

Devs:

I can understand removing the ability to change instances of DSEs. However, for those of us who abhor the ground-based portion of the game, the DSEs are the most fun to be had in STO.

The DSE 5 minute timer almost feels like a punishment.

During the timer, the enemies seem to rank a few levels higher and travel in large wolfpacks that repeatedly annihilate people in the instance.

Really, we get it: you don't want people power-leveling in DSEs.

However, I find it dreadful that you are essentially pushing people away from the only guaranteed space combat missions in the game! For those of us who cannot abide the current state of away missions, DSEs are how we enjoy STO!

Please don't try to tell us how to play our game. It's our game: we paid for it.

We're making a path in the grass here. Please lay down some sidewalk instead of putting up "don't walk on the grass signs"!

I totally agree with you (like I did in a couple of other threats).
I've almost given up playing the game since they changed it (disable the "change instance" button), because doing DSEs was the only fun stuff to do when you've run out of main missions and patrols.

Really? God I love playing between the DSEs more than during them, yes there are larger groups between DSEs because you killed all the smaller ones, and the Flagship / Dreadnoughts shows up. You have to work together to kill these guys, but it can be quite rewarding.

What annoys me is that you can no longer change to an instance where more players are. If they really want to stop players exploting that feature don't let them change to instances that have already started.
