Starting roughly 12 hours ago, once i get the character screen... or even before that... STO seems to be draining the network to the point that nothing else works.
I have seen a few other posts about this, all seems to be due to certain number of routers.... however mine was none of those (BT Homehub 2) and when STO is not open, everything works fine with my usual 7ish mb speed.
I havent seen anyone posting a solution to this yet nor someone from Cryptic saying they did something last night which is now effecting a certain congregation of people.
If there is one... apologies, and could you show me the page?

Can you function in STO or does it hang and your internet is unusable from any PC on your internal network?
I don't have any bandwidth problems and I have a crappy line as it is (6mb theoretical - 100kb practical). I browse the web in game using the Steam browser and some pages are full of images such as the forums. You could argue they are cached but I've also watched a few Youtube vids. My Parents have sort of the same browsing habits as well over a relativity old (G-wireless) router. So I'm not sure exactly why so many people are having these problems.
No other people on the network still have use of the internet...
Have tried reinstalling the drivers etc, rebooting pc and router...
If you have any idea what i mean by this, its like setting a bit torrent program to maximum upload... it saturates the bandwidth and then you cant do anything till you turn it off...
I am not patching or downloading anything... its just logging in and the program generally being open...
it was fine 16 hours ago... then between 6pm GMT and 2am GMT something changed.... and i dont know what.

I am able to play STO on Comcast via a Wifi connection while using Ventrilo and running Vuze. I don't have these problems. And I am in California, the servers are in Boston. There are a lot of hubs between me and the servers.

Open a command prompt and type pathping to run a extended tracert.
