A rational list, not a flaming rant, but these are a few of my dislikes in the game so far:
- Less than helpful in-game chat.
- Difficult chat system.
- Limited pitch of ships.
- Incredibly slow turning of ships.
- Inability to use full impulse during battle. I was watching Star Trek before most of you (saw ToS when it was live) and they often went to full impulse during combat.
- Zero inertia in space. A spaceship should tend to coast once moving. These stop like my self-propelled mower when I release the handle.
- Jerkiness of the ships when you turn them, like an old car with bad shocks.
- Solid walls with large signs around a sector.
- Inability to view a bio unless you can click on the person. There should be an "Info" option when clicking a name in chat too.
- Situations that are impossible to approach objects in space. I was in a mission where I was "above" a station about 20 LY away. No matter how I moved, I could not steer toward the station. The ship simply would not face in that direction. I finally had to move away farther into space and turn on a different vector to approach it.
- Frequent disconnects from the server, usually after completing a mission. Sometimes it causes a lockup and I have to kill the process in Task Manager.
- The general feeling of playing a single-player game. There is no sense of a lot of people playing. If it weren't for the constant dribble from most players in Zone chat, I'd think I was totally alone.
