Anyone else notice this?

I am a Rear Admiral 5 and it says I need 2000 skill points for RA6 but it has been saying that all day
and despite two completed missions that total close to 900 skill points, it keeps saying I need 2000.

Plus under requirements for next rank it says spend 0 skill points yet I have like 5500 unspent and
prior to this glitch, it said i needed to spend those points.

Anyone else experiencing this? I'd fill out a bug report but I am tired of the lazy DEV reply asking
for more information. I fill out my bug reports in a very granular manor and provide as much detail
as is available. I try to imagine my 11 year old nephew fixing the issue without any idea what STO
is so I provide as much information as will fit in the report field. That doesn't stop them from asking for
more information, I feel like asking them, "Like what, my Deoxyribonucleic Acid sequence number?"

Current cap in STO is RA5. You are maxed, and will not be able to earn any more skill points.

    You are at endgame.
There is nothing more. Unless you want to do the same stuff over again with a new character.
On the plus side, it won't take long. It's not like this game is overburdened by content or anything...

Yeah, you are done with the content...and think, the RA2-5 was added after the game launched....so you would be at RA1 and needing to grind if they weren't so generous.

    hmm...

You know, now that I think of it, I actually refuse to level another character doing the exact same quests with zero deviation. It is bad enough that the game plays like a linear script off of the star trek show...actors just reading their lines and picking up a pay check (them, not us who are playing).

Once the game has alternate leveling paths and content to make the experience fun and exciting...then I would consider it. As it stands, the skills, ships, and the content is just WAY to familiar to do again so soon.

Guess my characters sit till they open up RA5-7 or something like that.

I thought there was a rank of Fleet Admiral? Somewhere I read (in-game) that I could control multiple ships...like the others sitting in my "fleet". I honestly didn't know where the "end game" level was and never read the threads on it thinking it
would be a long time before I got there.

This entire post makes me lol.

    No.

Why do people never research the games they play?

While currently there is no "Fleet Admiral" rank or "way to control multiple ships" in the game - or even in the works - there is still a lot to look forward to. As you have currently reached the highest level in the game, that means that all of the new content coming out is made entirely for you. All of the new content they're working to consantly crank out... you're going to get to play it right away and experience it first. As more and more gets released, via monthly updates or however long it takes them per new content infusion, you'll be among the first to jump into the action.

Even now they've been working on various "Raidisodes" that you can read about here:

    http://www.startrekonline.com/upcoming_content

So even though you've hit top level, you have all the things on that page to look forward to in a week or two.

And then that amount of content repeating every few weeks as they work on the NEXT batch.

If being a Fleet Admiral is what you want most of all though, then I suggest making your own Fleet. Being in charge of your own group of players may not give you control over their ships, but if you feel like roleplaying a tad bit you can essentially feel you are in command.
