Do any of you use the "Pause" function during ground campaigns? I never used it myself as I felt there was never a need during direct gameplay.
I'm not talking about using pause for real life things like going to the bathroom, going to get a drink, or answering the telephone. I'm talking about using pause directly for gameplay reasons. I mean, does the game ever get hard to the point where you have to pause to strategize or something? Seems to me that pew, pew, pew was enough to get through anything.
I never used it until recently. While I agree that there is really no need to use it, I find it useful to pick out the highest ranking critter and have my officers focus on him/her. It's not really necessary, I guess, but I do like the option, anyhow.

well, it is a great idea, but for a game where you don't need to use it... maybe down the line when things are balanced, the tool will be appreciated, but i haven't used it yet...
I never use it as a "bullet time" but I use it to grab a quick soda out of the fridge. There's actually no good reason NOT to have a pause button in single-player instances.

Didn't you cancel? Really, just give it up and move on.
maybe it's there when it feels more like a solo game?
It actually is kind of nice. I've used it several times and since parties are so small and more often than not I'm solo it's not like it's a griefers tool.

I went AFK very many times without using pause during the single-player instances. When I came back, my entire team was fine.

Don't hate the pause, you know you want it.
WTF Goodwind, why are you bugging me again? I requested that you stop stalking me. Are you trying to hit on me now, dude? lol
Unless I get ejected, I paid until March 4th. So my posting privilege is good until then. Bad news for you, I guess.

That probably says more about the "difficulty" of ground missions than anything else...
Which is why I wondered if a pause function was necessary.
