Explore 3 systems in the Delta Volanis Cluster?

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
Hi Sir,

I took the mission to explore 3 systems in the Delta Volanis Cluster. I explored the whole thing via radar, so I'm sure I was on each possible spot, but besides some anomalies, I only encountered fog, and can't see any systems !

Can someone please tell Me what I am doing wrong ?

You need to approach the anomalies , u will get an option to scan them if there collectable anomalies or they maybe enterable systems.

    Are you serious?

If you are, you have to fly around and find those lines that have distances written on them. The closer you get, the lower the number on the line become. Some of them are useless anomolies so you can either scan them, take the junk and remove it from the zone or just ignore them and fly on past. Sooner or later you'll find one that says "Explore Unknown System" and that's where the "fun" will begin. This is where you encounter the full dynamic of the much hyped "Genesis" system that was raved about. This is what generates all those "strange new worlds" you were promised. You will find a box containing one planet and either no/one/two moons and some quantity of asteroids. Seems all systems have asteroids of some concentration or another. You will then do one of the following:

1.) Scan 5 more of those anomolies there (they'll all be in a line in one of those asteroid fields) and when you're done the mission is over.
2.) Fly to a disabled ship/asteroid base and protect it from 5 waves of enemies (first wave will be 3 smaller fighter-type ships, second wave will be a larger, slower ship, third wave will be 3 more smaller fighter-type ships, fourth wave will be another larger, slower ship and the fifth wave will be a very large, hulking big ship). Loot will largely consist of batteries.
3.) Patrol the asteroid field for 5 clusters of baddies. First cluster will be 3 smaller fighter-type ships. Second cluster will be a larger, slower ship. Third cluster will be 3 more smaller fighter-type ships. Fourth cluster will be another larger, slower ship. Fifth cluster will be a very large, hulking big ship. Loot will largely consist of batteries.
4.) Beam down to an abandoned base/research facility and kill 5 clusters of bad guys while "scanning" 3 computer consoles to find out that the base was abandoned because of cracks in the walls or because of harrassment during research. Research was either on a wormhole or some mega-weapon.
5.) Beam down to planet/asteroid base to scan 5 artifacts/plants/ancient relic/computers to gather data for Starfleet. (Variation on this is that sometimes there are bad guys around the things you need to scan. See #4 above).

That's about it with minor variations on the above themes. Enjoy! You'll be doing these same missions in EVERY "unknown" sector you explore as you level up. I mean, sometimes the missions read EXACTLY the same as ones you did at lower levels. Only the level of bad guys (and their origins; Klingons instead of Orions, or Romulans instead of Cardassians, for example) will change.

Thanx very much for this info brother, you wanna be My friend ? lol.

But I have a problem, I seem to fall drop dead without forward speed, and My speed is fully enlighted, but I can't move forward. I tried reverse, and that works, but I can't seem to continue, I keep falling death without speed ! What can I do ? I already relogged twice ! And the sound is ok too, I hear the ship accelerate, but I don't see it accelerate !

and I seem to drop dead without speed when I inclose on the anomalies. What must I do to continue playing ? is it a bug maybe ?

I did too, at first. But by the time I got to LC9 and had to go to yet another abandoned science station to scan three computers to find out that they were researching a wormhole/megaweapon while shooting five clusters of aliens I got bored and disinterested.

I dunno, I've done maybe two dozens of these with only two or three repeats...
