First off I want to state that so far I am really enjoying the game and I see a lot of potential for what this game can become in the future. So listed below are some suggestions/ideas that would be nice for future content. Also keep in mind that I have not completed the game either so I may mention things that are in the game but I have yet to encounter.
1. More variety of planets such as Class O (water), Class P (ice), Class R (Rouge, like a heavy vegetation planet), Class Y (demon). Also not every other planet needs rings, they are nice too look at but too many have them. Regardless of the missions that may or may not take place on these planets at least include their appearance from space. Give us some thing more too look at. Star variety too, such as red, blue(s), maybe even green.
2. Other background pieces that we may interact with such as: Comets, Ion storms, Dyson Sphere, Pulsar, Nexus Ribbon. All of these could be added to various maps that we have to deal with while exploring or battling. For example if you are to fight Klingons in system xyz and the quickest way to them is through and Ion storm you could traverse the storm but may suffer a crew loss penalty or something like that. Or you could take the longer way around and avoid the storm all together. A third way would be to have equipment that reduces your damage from the storm but lure the Klingons into it and weaken them.
3. Missions.
Exploration: More needs to be devoted to exploration, so that players really feel as if they are exploring. Example: Venture into a system and discover an new life form. Or venture into a system and encounter a life form that was used on a series or movie, such as tin man. Mainly something that is more in depth exploration in space and on the planet. Maybe explore a comet that is passing by a star system. Nothing to special but nice to have. During the exploration of the comet maybe find a mineral that is new.
Diplomacy: Have consequences for making the wrong dialog choices. If you were sent to system xyz to hammer out a truce with a species and you make incorrect choices then the end result is a battle and you fail that mission. The mission must be replayed to achieve the diplomatic result. Or better yet not have the mission replayed. The choice you make is the result you get. Fail the mission and go on. But have this as an independent mission so it does not affect others in your overall performance.
Evacuation/Rescue: Have stations or planets etc. in distress from a natural event and the object is to rescue X amount of people in a certain amount of time. The more you or your team rescues the greater the reward in experience or items.
Aid: Have ships randomly hail you asking for your help from a variety of things such as repairs, defense, evacuation. These maybe quick and some what simple missions. But they are an intricate part of what is experienced in Star Trek.
Salvage: You are to salvage a ship in which you could part it out for your ship. Or replace your ship with the salvaged one, if it is good enough. Ships that are being salvaged are not restricted to being just from those in game already. Add some Andorian, Plakled (although usually inferior they did use a variety of technology from other races), Tholian, Breen, etc.
Note: Not all missions need to be given by Starfleet Command or Klingon Headquarters thus having more random species calling for your assistance. If you are in the Klingon Empire then more missions maybe of a more military nature. Instead of rendering aid to a planet you maybe driving off other races trying to take hold. Federation, Romulan, Tzenkethi, Tholian. to name a few.
4. Races. Please add more races to the game both NPC and Playable.
NPC/Encounters: Tzenkethi, Tholian, Breen, Xindi, Kriosian, Denobulan, Yridian, Sona, to name a few.
Playable: Romulan, Cardassian
5. Ships. More ambient ships in background and other ship encounters. Dealing with a variety of ships in missions that span from all of Star Trek. Some examples are: Vulcan, Andorian, Breen, Tholian, Shuttles, Husnock.
6. PvP. Offer 5 on 5 matches or 10 on 10 matches or even larger if there are the people to support it. Also have a special setup where players can do PvP in ships they have salvaged. So you can have random encounters in a variety of ships. Maybe I want to take a Tholian ship into battle against some that are using Bajorian, or Cardassian or something different. Also have a penalty for players that leave PvP early.
Thats about all I have right now, I'm sure I'll add more as time goes on. I hope that both players and developers look at this as a serious idea to enhance the game's experience and not trying to bash the game. Because as I stated earlier I enjoy the game a lot but I would like to see other key features incorporated.
