Should I drop the cage of fire mission until they fix the bugs?

I've rescued 4 out of 5 hostages in the bajoran fire caves. I've been on this one mission 6 hours. I can't seem to get past the wall of fire in the last block. Sometimes when I log I am respawned at the very beginning of the fire caves, and in that block there is a circle of fire blocking my way where i've already been. I am assuming the last hostage is in the last block I can't get to.

I'm amazed you didn't bring up the horrific pet pathing issues on this map, did they fix it?

Not sure what you mean. But most of my bridge officer still don't follow me. 1 out of 4 does, sometimes.

Do you still have the Fire Suppression device from earlier in the game? ( I forget the mission, the one where you have to rescue some scientists from a burning space station).

If no, I'd try using shift to run through the fire.

Haven't played the mission so can't give you any better advice.

Try setting waypoints for your BO's. On the left side of the screen you have your BO's listed. Above them is a bar with several options. One of them is waypoints. Try to have them group elsewhere and then go join them.

While this normally helps, this specific mission is one of the worst for the pets in the game.
It's near impossible to get the entire away team from one side of the map to other.
The map has bridge sections which you cross, and the away team freezes up on these parts, sometimes refusing all orders you give them.

It's one of the worst maps for your pets in the entire game. Have fun!

I actually enjoyed this missions bugged pet following, as I finally got to truly solo something in this game. If you're unable to get past something, you must have left someone alive that you aren't supposed to, as all of the fire gates are opened by killing certain enemies. If you're sure you killed everyone and you still are stuck, please post a link to a screenshot, and I'd be happy to help.

This could have been an really great mission but the pathing is so bad. You have to set the BO's waypoints to advance them through the map.
I lost one BO to the lava but I also noticed 4 or 5 of the mobs died to it too.

Untill they get a solid fix in I found a way to get around the away team pathing...log out and back in real quick and your away team appears by your side...so at each encounter in the course of the mission do this and you have your whole team by your side.

I was able to solo this mission and duo it to help a friend without incident. To get your crew to follow you, use rally points frequently. To get the last wall of fire down, you need to rescue all 5 hostages. You may have missed one early on. Aside from the pathing problems, I don't think the mission is bugged.

Mission is not bugged. You just miss a hostage.

Yes, annoying AI pathing requires a step by step placement of rally points to move your away team.

Actually, I'm pretty certain that it IS bugged. It appears to be that when you rescue the first hostage, you create a "save point" at that location, and get 1/5 rescues complete. However, if you leave the mission for any reason (ISP disconnect, PvP queue comes up, etc...) you will reappear at that save point with 0/5 rescues, and that first hostage will not be there. Since none of them respawn without you leaving the area and resetting your number of rescues, this makes the mission (apparently) impossible to complete, which is the issue I'm having.

I have rescued 4 hostages, and am stuck at a "flame shield" that is impassable. I killed two Guls that were just outside of it, and I can see more Cardassians on the other side, but cannot interact with them in any way.

As for pathfinding issues - yes, they're annoying. However, if you continually set way points, you can eventually get your Bridge Officers to move to them. I've been soloing portions of the mission, but it takes a bit longer than normal.

yeah the bo crew movement is horrid in this one an guys stalling out an not fighting etc etc, and when I was saving prisoners had one glitch ended up having to start the hole thing over to get guy to spawn again so I could click om him.
