these missions even when complete.. never seem to go away.. now my screen is FULL OF THEM.. or telling to to explore a certain cluster/nebula.. when I complete them they are still there.. urgh..
i want more real missions... im LT CMDR 8.. where can I get more missions?
If you're talking to Sulu/Gen'tra (or whatever his name is), that's really all you're going to get.
Like Quinn had all the episodes for Sirius/Regulus/Pi Canis, all the Centauri episode missions are on that... er, what's her name? The high-ranking chick who's boss at Starbase 39. Sorry, can't remember her name at all, but the mission that takes you to Starbase 39 in the first place lead you right to her, and she gave you the first episode.
Maybe you've powered straight through them all, and there aren't any left now until the next area. In that case all I can suggest is to be diligent about it, really.
As I recall there was something in the patch notes about how the rank restriction on repeatable missions had been lifted because it wasn't functioning properly. This is probably why your Hail Starfleet now suddenly has more stuff in it that you've already done.
The "Hail Starfleet" mission getter interface is horrifyingly bad in terms of design. It doesn't indicate what's repeatable, it doesn't indicate mission levels (you see that in your log of course), it resorts who you've talked to as you speak to each person, etc. It needs an overhaul, and one of those changes should be a way to see what kind of mission it is that you're going to be getting.

The defend missions are there for the people who like to grind and don't mind the same things over and over again.
The exploration missions are there for people to get badges so they can get good items and weapons for their ships.
Reeaallyyy.. hmm interesting indeed... I guess i need to do these.. blah..
