To get your search function to work better, you may have to have one of your bridge officers shimmy down a jeffries tube and find a panel that will let him/her re-arrange some sub-space transmitters. Thus allowing the search function to access the database properly.

That will only partially solve the problem because you didn't include enough techno-babble.
if you remove 'if' from the search it will work. it clearly states that 'if' is the problem since it is only 2 letters long. the minimum 3 letters is per word, not the whole query. the search is working fine.
