Heal auto target

I'm going to take off auto target on attack, and hope that fixes this...

At some point though, it would be nice if my heals didn't auto target a completely random friendly. I don't even want to know how many times I'm fighting an enemy and I press Sci Team I... and then restore the shields of my mine.

It would be nice if, when an enemy is targeted, heals automatically target self...

So true, nothing like tanking a few battleships for your group and going to heal yourself only to heal a friendly that didn't even need it.

This sounds more like a bug. Filed a bug complaint yet?

It's not a bug, the auto target assist that allows you to target a friendly, fire a weapon and have that weapon attack your friendly's target as well as changing your target to their target works backwards with heals when the enemy you have targetted happens to have one of your allies targetted. When that happens and you fire a heal it targets your friendly and heals them instead of you. Absolutely genius.

    It's simply a flawed mechanic.

    He's right.

I had the same problem. Died MANY times over because I ended up healing allies (who were at full health) when I was the one that needed the boon.

All you need to do is turn off "target assist".

    exact.

you can counter this by just hitting F1 before applying heal.
