Ultimate Suggestion Thread
This thread will grow over time with proposed changes, tweaks, and overhauls

Purpose:
This post will be a huge list of threads, sorted by topic.

Post a link to a thread by responding to this post. I will also find threads from time to time and add them.

This allows anyone (from player to dev) to explore the discussion surrounding an issue (or that new mechanic someone suggested).
Let's help the devs by providing an index to all the information on these forums!

What This Isn't:
This isn't a place for rage-quitting, name-calling, or other shenanigans. These are thoughtful responses on how to change specific mechanics (not just wishing it were "vaguely more EVE-like" or "like SWG but minus the EPIC FAIL of NGE/CU"). You can reference these games but please provide concrete solutions to problems.

Mere complaints are best reserved for 4chan, keggers, and other venues. This thread is for detailed criticism that offers solutions - not just gripes or moans.

    I read a suggestion post earlier about missions with desicions, and thought you might want to add it to your list.

    this is only a Suggestion :

    this in not just another game to me, its STAR TREK!! ONLINE!

    if u want alot of people playing the game for a long time u have to take this game seriously.
    i have played other games and drpoed them like a bad habit, because the game programmers
    put more work in the eye candy then the game play its self.
    it seems like this is what ur doing in sto, maybe im wrong because sto is still in the beginning stages, i hope.
    example:
    my charicter holds a gun that u cant see lol, it fires the weapon from its foot, not all the weapons just 1.
    i couldent do 3 missions because there was
    no bar to click on to get into the system, also many times i finished the mission, and the game did nothing. i exited the system , then exited the sector, then came back and it made me do it alover again, i finished the mission again!, then it said i finished the mission i can leave the system. lol
    I CAN GO ON! LOL, this is not good for buisness, it takes a long time to do some missions, and if i have to go back and do it alover again, i get mad lol

    this in not my pc, i dont have these problems with other games.

    my suggestion is to fix these glitches, or people will take sto as a stupid game :cool:

    Start having Cryptic ban gold spammers (even tho they won't, so they can brag about having over a million accounts; who cares if half of them are gold spammers and bots...)

    I love that the list is so exhaustive but I wish it were better organized (hence my OP in this thread).

    I would like to see is more jobs for the officers....and more slots. I am a rear admiral and I have more officers than I know what to do. Maybe give bonusesif you choose a XO, Navigator, Helmsman

    great idea, one topic where I HOPE people from Cryptic can read and easily follow all major ideas from customer feedback.
    I'm having fun playing STO for now,but...damn'it lots off people are right,this is not IT.

    Add bigger maps on planets,and add NPC and missions down there.
    Add missions for level caps. In your first small ship you can go where ever you want?:rolleyes:
    add starfleet academy in San Francisco.

    Add instances on one ship with more players. To elaborate; if i'm in a Guild/Fleet..i'm Lt.Cmd, someone has rank Ensign..someone in guild would be higher level, Captain or Admiral and he will be leading us in instance. Like raid leader or something like that..
    That could add social-touch to STO,and even could be kinda fun and something like never seen in any MMO. If you play in one ship with same people for some time you get to know other players very well,..STO could get Star Trek touch...dont know how to describe it but...you would know who is "Picard, Riker,Troi,Data..."

    There is room for improvment and I hope to see it. It would be shame that STO fail. I'm having fun for now but lots of people are even angry and everything thay say is valid. Pew Pew Pew..press f..scan..Pew Pew Pew..

    I'd like to see the ships go as fast as they should, if my ships is suppose to go warp 8 then it should go warp 8. If i have a ship that can go warp 9.995 like the discovery then i should be able to go that fast. am i wrong?

    If your ship really went that fast...you would NOT be able to see it...since warp speed is faster than light...and our visual organs operate on light reflection... ;)

    I have a question for the Devs. Why are there only PayPal and credit cards as a form of payment to purchase points? I hope Cryptic looks into this in the near future as some of us don't trust those forms of payments.
