SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
PLEASE, i love the customization the game has for ships, but i need more parts! i need more nacells, more hulls, more saucers, more paing schemes, more colors!

i want colors that are more reflective, i want colors that have a faint glow, i want nacells that can be colored differently, i want more window options!

please give us parts!

edit: EMBLEMS!!! how could i forget, WHERE ARE FLEET EMBLEMS! and just more emblems in general! i wanna make my ship even more unique than it already is!

I could have sworn they had to limit the amount of specific part customization due to license restriction. CBS didn't want crazy looking ships flying around in a game with their name on it.

As for fleet logos.....they need to add the ASAP.

One of the reasons I wish this game wasn't Star Trek. Cryptic is capable of so much more customization than what they're being allowed to do.

Actually, check out the window color option. I discovered the other day that changing your window color does a lot more than just change the color of your windows.

All the ships and customization had to be approved by CBS. I don't see this happening anytime soon.

I like this idea. More customization is always good!

the op must be 12. actually, this isnt even worth a well written comment. no more money than 15 a month or lots quit. its not that people cant afford it, but there has to be a line.

Unfortunately, thanks to the number of people like the OP who are frivolous in their spending habits, those of us who wish we could go back to the time when little things like additional ship parts were part and parcel of the monthly fee are left out in the cold.

Their license to burn money will be our downfall.

no i have two jobs, and i have money. i own a lifetime sub, so i don't pay per month. nice try on the personal attack though. should probably get more information before making baseless accusations.

28 to be exact, there is a line. if you don't want to pay for it don't. if you can't pay for it i am sorry for you. i want it and i am willing to pay for it, because i can.

that is how an open economy works.

    your downfall?

    that is hilarious!

    1. do you think you are entitled to special parts they develop for the c-store specifically?

    2. if you had the money to bu the parts that were ment for the c-store only, would you? and why/why not?

for me, the answer to 1. is no, they made the part specifically for people willing to pay money for it, so people who won't or can't aren't entitled to it. the game runs just fine without the parts, they are purely cosmetic. the reason they would be on the c-store, is because they went above and beyond their normal duties to create it. paying money for it is the logical thing to do.

    2. for me is obviously yes, because i can afford it and i like the idea of reinforcing the designers and creators to work harder for a little monetary benefit.

Yes because people who have money to spend are really that evil to cause your downfall!

    Actually they will.

Do I believe I'm entitled to stuff? Not really. I'm more disappointed that people are willing to accept microtransactions on top of a monthly fee.

I'd hope for a few more ship options for free before they start charging for it, true.

well i have a lifetime, i have no monethly fee.

but if you don't believe you are entitled to these extra special things the team did for money, why are you worried if someone else is?

i mean its not like they get any sort of leg up on you in the game itself. they just get to look more unique. is it jealousy?

    Clearly an overreaction.

Also people are free to spend money why? because its their money. There are lot of things in this world i can not afford and never will but i really don't hold any grudge against them.

Also everything in C-STORE is of cosmetic value so its not like you will miss something big in case you opt out.

Which I think is funny because in the end, you're COSTING them money, if you stick around for longer than a year.

Because it'll become the norm. Let's look at how much of a lather people had to get into to make Cryptic see that charging on a zone basis pretty much sucks.

No I'm not jealous. I'm just disappointed in people like you.

And what's to stop them from offering in-game buffs in the C-store when they think they can get away with it?

"Want more skillpoints buy +5000 to the cap for 2000 C-Store Points!" "Want a tier 6 ship? 5000 points!"

I don't like to speculate about future and WHAT IF scenarios. please don't go off topic we are discussing about cosmetic stuff in C-STORE and like i said before people are free to spend their money whichever manner they like and you have no right to judge them.

slippery slope logical fallacies have no place here sir.

You're discussing cosmetic stuff "for now". I doubt the "buy a zone" C-Store stuff has left their minds for good. The more people are willing to dump money at the C-Store the more likely we are to see it come back. Especially once CBS realizes how much extra money they can make through their license thanks to that.

Says the guy who obviously missed Cryptic trying to charge for a zone.

WHAT IF! instead of buying more personalized items in the C-Store you could go onto your bridge and talk to your various crew members and they could craft or sell you different ship parts with customizable options?

I dunno... they're on that bridge... they needta do something!

...also I'm not really a fan of the microtransaction thing.

I agree with the OP, let's not make baseless accusations. Only and immature [explative deleted] whose arguments can not stand on their own resort to such presumptions.

    Oh wait...
...OP is guilty of that too. Damn, and for a second I thought he might have had some credibility.

Here's the deal friend, it seems that you're less interested in the ship parts and more interested in them being somewhat "exclusive". I conclude this based on how offended you were with my harmless post on /agreeing with 'more parts' but wondering 'why c-store?'.

So it would therefore seem that the base desire for you, is not for you to get access to parts but rather to deny access of those parts to others.
    How reprehensible indeed...
...you know, presuming this to be the case.
