The answers on the newest Ask Cryptic were cop-out, generic and frankly not what I wanted to hear.

They sold FAR LESS than half a game. Yes, the scripted missions are *sometimes* fun, but they are too far and few. The amount of content is abysmal. And as an added bonus battles seem way too long in many instances.

Ground combat.... well sucks. You have a team of NPC's and they just wipe out the stuff. I've never been able to AFK in an MMO so much. Which, calling STO an MMO is generous. The only 'MMO' content I see are fleet actions. And those suck because the only people getting good loot are the Captians and Admirals who can do a gabizillion DPS.

After a few days of forcing myself to play constantly, it just doesn't seem fun enough. The skills suck. I'll say it again, the skills suck. I can't think of anyother MMO where skills seem to do absolutely nothing. I just.... I don't see the fun in this game.

And I'm sure a whole lot of people are going to say "thanks for leaving!" but you know, ther is just something major missing in this game. I can't even describe it other than I just can't have fun playing it. I'm sure i'll watch the game for quite some time and play it again eventaully, but it won't be too soon.

Live long and prosper. Although I feel STO will die soon and go bankrupt.

The game has died. And 2-weeks post-launch for a "buy discount" now available is just one sign of how disenfrachised most feel about this horrible single-player lobby-system, rudimentary space shooter.

Okay. Sell the game and move on. Thanks for playing but this obviously isn't for you. Perhaps you should stick to console gaming, as your expectations for a spit shined polish are too high for this endeavor. You've obviously never delved into an MMO at launch before. Welcome to the world of PC gaming. We've been doing it this way for decades. Stick to the joysticks kid.

CO was far better polished at launch, frankly, and it was done by the same company not half a year prior. This is not a 'standards for MMOs are too high' issue. STO was shoved out the door unfinished to please their corporate masters, plain and simple.

Not plain and simple. It's speculation and that gets you no where but negativityville. You're a creature that thrives on this kind of energy though and thats just bad mojo. Oh TRIBBLE I'm speculating. Now I'm one of them!

Damn it's dead? Here I thought I saw the game full of people playing just tonight. Weird.

you have got to be kidding.... ive been playing pc games for 20yrs and this game is so thin in content its transparent!!!!! understand we are at the start of a MMO but come on we all shelled out $150 and 3 months subscription even for a start up the content is woefully lacking,... I for one are not impressed having to fork out so cryptic can finish their development.. Im a big star trek fan but not impressed with this repetitive tripe

Maybe we're both on hallucinogens somehow?

I guess not hough because if we were the OP's post might seem sensible and intelligent.

Since it doesn't Ill assume he is the one with perception or opinion issues.
