it like a mix between EveOnline and Mass Effect.

Except there is :
too much loading screen...
Not enough ship...
No mining
No crafting
No fun...

Always the same mission.... ( beam on a planet, explore a empty base or a full one ( doesnt matter cause its boring) .. acces a computer... then a second one and a third one etc...and then beam out... again and again...

There's only 1 good thing about this game...it's reminded me that i need to pay my montly bill at EveOnline.. and purchase Mass Effect 2 ...

at least...Graphic are nice ..

SGW (Stargate Worlds) is all but cancelled. Do some research, the game will never see the light of day. I was in the beta test for SGW, and that was shut down over a year ago.

And, I agree, STO is the most disappointing MMO I've ever had the misfortune to play. It makes the AoC release look good.

It is unfortunate that this game does not live up to your expectations. Please enjoy whatever game you go to from here. Goodbye.

I love amazing feedback given by OP. It will surely help Cryptic.

P16001001,, ... some do.....i do... but to tell you the truth... if you dont have the good ship.. and the good skill... and the friend ( Corp) to support you and protect you from pirate and other player in a 0 Sec zone ... you might get bored and or frustated...

I guess... its your case...... and i dont thing you can understand the dept of this type of gaming... so maybe you should stick with STO....

    LOL

While I may agree with the sentiment about the game, STO is like neither of those two, nor even close to being.

In fact if indeed it were it'd be a damn good game indeed.

lol, time to queue up another skill? Don't feel bad, I float 3 or 4 subs in any given month. Been paying EvE for 5 years on and off and never really played but have 30+ million skill points. The days of EQ, SWG, EQ2/WoW dedicated subs are gone. Now it is just play and wait/cycle to another game.

I like this game for the cycle, still waiting for the feeling I got the first time I fished off the docks in Freeport as the Sun was setting in EQ back in 1999.

I can't find any other reviews that say otherwise. They all parrot the same thing, is there a conspiracy against Cryptic and Star Trek Online?

it wasnt canceled it was suspended bc Cheynne was releasing Stargate Resistence so 99% of their time went into it

'Indefinitely suspended', because Cheynne ran out of money, and is being sued. Stargate Resistance is an attempt to recoup some of the money wasted on SGW.

how dare you compare this steaming pile to criticaly acclaimed games such as mass effect, and yes, eve, its obvious the coat hanger scathed this abortion before it came out.

EvE is critically acclaimed? For what? Best offline experience ever?

Eve is highly acclaimed. Critically and otherwise. For it's depth and it's single-server technology, among many other things. It is also one of the only MMOs to constantly increase it's subscription base. Eve Online is over 6 years old, and it has more subscribers now than it ever did. It consistently breaks it's own records for number of users online at once.
