More Phasers and Quantum torps.!

Hello everyone.

Well there is something i really miss. I want to see more Phasers and Quantum torpedo launcher for mk VIII-X. I know you get some for exploration marks....but the stats are TRIBBLE.
When i saw the rewards for the new daily and PvP i was wondering why there are no phasers. Well even on memory alpha you can just craft Mk II phasers. You get everything...plasma, tetryon and so on...but no good phasers.
I dont want to see that my Sovereign Class ship is firing any blue, yellow or whatever colored beams. I want to keep it "federation style" with phasers and quantum torpedos.

So please devs....add some more rare and very rare phasers!

    I imagine they are quite possibly out there, as extremely rare drops.
    Though its so far just speculation until someone confirms this, which might be quite difficult since only a minority visit the forums.

    Well I know that as common and uncommon they are out there as drops, I've looted some Mk IX and X. Unfortunately when they do drop and go on to the exchange the prices can go pretty high. I'm an escort so i never look for them but I know that i sold a MK IX uncommon one on the exchange today for 300k, which was about 50k under all the other ones. It's not that big of a deal I guess since there's nothing to spend credits on, all mine have been going to help buy the fleet bank tabs anyways...

    There's definitely a mold that they try to push us all into though which really sucks, I have been stuck with my Tetryon gear at Captain level as an admiral because if I lose my 3 +30's to tetryon weapons my dps goes down the drain compared to the antiproton weapons that have no consoles to support them. With out foresight i found an uncommon console and sold it for 400k not thinking that i would never find more anywhere not even vendors. Let's really hope they start expanding Memory Alpha "craftables" or add new vendors or else you'll see every admiral out there using the same damn weapons gimped by the lack of support for them....

    I do prefer the standard colored phasers over any other energy weapons. I also need that PHHHHHHEWWWWWWWW sound.

    search for "mag" on the exchange , it will bring up the anti proton dmg tactical consoles.

    side note : the white ones are only 2 dmg less then the green ones , havent seen any blue ones on there yet so i'd just get the white ones , cheaper.

    the part that bugs me about this is if your Fed you have to go hunt and kill someone for a phaser drop, which is a normal equipment for a fed ship, yet I can get rare non standard weapons for a few marks. Prehaps I'm the only one who finds this ironic? :P

    Well yes it is.

    Thats pretty stupid i think....i want more phasers for exploration badges! :-)

    umm try the exchange and the badge vendors, rare is rare get used to it I don't have any real problems with uncommon weapons I get for doing exploration missions.

    Here's a better idea:

    Let's make the differences between different weapons more apparent (instead of having slightly different "feels"):
      [*]Phasers = Debuff weapon, Lowest Power Usage
      [*]Plasma = DoT weapon / Hull/Crew Damage, Medium Power Usage
      [*]Disruptor = Heavy Energy Use but much higher DPS



      Visual Cues to know it is affecting hull:
      • Phasers - Lights flicker/fade on side hit
      • Plasma - Ship facing side engulfed in flames
      • Disruptor- Big, black scorch marks.


      Let's make the differences far more polarized. It'd feel liked an entirely different weapon than just another minor modifier to damage.

      One of the worst things is....now i have only skilled quantum torpedos and phasers....that is a stupid situation^^
