I need a GM to contact me concerning a SIGNIFICANT exploit. I have opened a ticket and have been on hold to reach someone.

If this involves you getting killed in pvp, they know about it already.

Posting on the forums to get a dev response is like getting married to have more sex.

If someone is actually taking the trouble to TELEPHONE in, it's gotta be a doozy.

...and now I'm sure Fleet chat and Ventrilos all across the game world are lighting up with "What is it?" as this poor guy gets hammered with private messages.

So...my "Death by ramming" maneuver is an exploit?

    1) Jam Sensors
    2) tractor beam
    3) Overload cannons
    4) Ramming Speed
    5) Brace for Impact
    6) yell KAWABUNGA!

Yes yes we all know that some containers on ground missions have a limitless supply of items.

It is not a bug it is a perk for those who pay attention to fact that the shimmering box continues to shimmer even after you empty it.

It is not like it is game breaking.
You have to have an actual economy in a game in order to break it.

What's the exploit in question, out of curiosity?

He found a hidden button and unlocked a new ship, a strange blue box that has space and time travel capabilities. It let him move forward to the 2012 version of STO, where the haters are long gone and we're 6-7 releases into a rocking game.

Did the exploit involve mines and the crystaline entity?

If so, it's not an exploit. It's common sense. Mines. More of them. All the time.

I gave up on being on hold, logged a ticket and PM'd a GM other than this post. Zero response (not to mention the box exploit I logged as a GM ticket over a week ago mentioned above).

I checked in game and it is not just my account. Luckily the items can't be traded, so it's less impact than I originally thought.

I hope you're not talking about infinitie C-store items because that's intended..

If you are refering to being able to claim multiple c-store items from pre-orders, they did that on purpose.

yeah if its the C-Store pre-order or bonus items thing, they did it to try and ease pressure on the GM's so people who accidently delete them can get them again without having to get a GM to do it.

a dev post was made yesterday about it, check the dev tracker.

lovely. The few I talked to in game thought it was an exploit as well. So, what exactly is the point of breeding tribbles if you can just get a rivera for every bridge officer?

I thought they broke the C-Store and originally believed you were going to start seeing Pre-order tribbles for sale which would have upset alot of people. By the way, it still throws an error if you try to get multiple ones and requires closing and reopening the C-Store. /facepalm

You know about the three wedding rings right?

    The engagement ring.

    The wedding ring.

    The suffer-ring.

This post reminds me of this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkF4XaikJow

ZOMG THE WORLD IS GOING TO EXPLODE!!!!!!1111 :p

Patience is a virtue. Making sure you don't panic over every little thing should count for something too. ;)

I mean it's entirely possible he would have decapitated him if he used a chain saw... just as it might have been an exploit had it not been intended. hehehehehe Anyhoo, reporting in-game bugs get looked at. Have faith in the system. :)

When I came across the unlimited box in the Iconia system, I just filed a bug report and moved on with my life. It was an exploit, but nothing game breaking.

Please yell and holler when you find something that consistently crashes the server. THOSE deserve the extra noise. :D
