Three skills that make PVE easy (and they're good for PVP too!)

I sometimes read about how people are finding the middle or higher levels in PVE "challenging" and I couldn't figure out why until read a post by someone about how opposing ships "fly like mad". That never bothers me in PVE because I run with three skills that prevent ships from moving. They are:

- tractor beam
- viral matrix
- jam sensors (the AI is bad in this game and PVE ships don't seem to know what to do when they can't attack so they usually just sit completely still rather than rotate to get different shield sides facing you)

If you run with at least 2 of these skills (achievable at 11 if you're science, 21 if not), I guarantee the fights would be easy for you.

I'm almost considering dropping these skills just to make PVE somewhat challanging, but I never had to gimp myself on purpose just to find a game challanging, and besides all of these skills are great for PVP too. Because fighting is all about positioning, hammering away at one shield side to get an opening is the most important facet, and the easiest way to do that is to get your opponent to sit still.

Also, on a different note, on the ground just equip all your BOs with expose weapons and give yourself two exploit weapons. Make sure all the weapons have AOE special attacks. After you use one special attack, switch to your other weapon (it helps if you hotkey "switch weaons" to something) and use it too. Usually you will take out 2 or 3 bad guys before your cooldown on your first weapon is even up.
