im talking about the 5 minute timer between deep space encounters if we were leveling up too quickly then you should have reduced the XP reward now we got 5 minutes of dead time waiting till we can complete the mission.

ANd now you removed the ability to instance jump its even more boring.

You can still fight during the down time.

    Another time sink

Transwarp / "Hearth" to Sol, only to turn around and slowboat 20min back to where you were.

We need transwarp hubs in every sector, so you can at least get to the right sector quickly, and then slowboat the rest of the way to the system in question.

I don't mind the 5 minute wait, it gives me time to make lunch, walk my dogs, change my cars oil, and take a potty break between fights.

not gonna happen ... removing the timer for DSE will cut the time people spend there in half ...

That's why I'm asking to be able to set your warp somewhere. There's a thread on feedback general about it. Bump it.

Maybe we should all be Q and blink our eyes and appear anywhere we want!

This is Space and as the Tri-corder says its sooooo big. Let the slow-boat smoke through sector space at Warp 9 and someone call the waaaaaambulance.

Enjoy it its part of the Star Trek experience travelling through space... it takes a little time even at faster then the speed of light.

What they need to do is make sector space more pretty and give you the ability to walk around your ship at the same time as you travel so you can keep yourself busy en route. I'd sit in Ten Forward and have a drink while I watch the trip out the windows playing 3d Chess.

Actually, setting your transwarp to another system wouldn't be a bad idea as an option. Since it's just the ability to zone in elsewhere, this would be a VERY good feature. Keep the same timer.

If someone wants Earth, they get Earth. Or Memory Alpha. Or Sierra II. Or K7, for the PVPers down that way. Or DS9. Or a random system they like. Beytan, *****es!

It won't cut the time in half since there is still the 30 min timer for re-accepting the mission. I agree, it needs to go.

I didn't even think of it that way. I was mainly thinking Memory Alpha, DS9, K-7. Didn't even consider "anywhere". But I guess there wouldn't be any harm.

Doesn't it cost a lot to change your car's oil so much? :D

I dont ever understand these complaints. The universe in STO is NOT that big. It takes only a few minutes to travel across the entire quadrant.

Try games like EvE. You can spend an hour traveling and not even get half way across the galaxy. Not even close.

Even in WoW or EQ 2 you spend a LOT of time traveling. STO does NOT have that problem. Its got a VERY fast travel mechanic going on there. Very fast.

So again I dont know where the complaints are coming from.
