Well it is everything that i wanted to see thus far.
The game has color and has plenty of room for expansion, looking at the different sectors, and where Cryptic can take it.
The adventures or episodes are very similar to those seen in all the weekly series, even into the Epic Battles with the Crystalline Entity, Borg Incursions, Klingons, Romulans, Ferengi, Nausicans, and more that I have not seen yet.
The characters are diverse, the sound effects are right on, the ship configurations are not vast, but they are streamlined.
As I get better with the game, and increase my abilities, I can see my role in the STO universe expanding as with the content.
Patches, Updates, and soon to be Expansions offer a great bit of anxiety with each week that passes.
Very few glitches other than occasional overloads, but far less than most MMO's I have seen and heard about within the first couple of weeks of gameplay.
The player and ship movement seem to be paced just right, The various players using great skill to customize their characters and clothing is nothing short of fabulous (Kudos to all of you).
Weapons and specials seem to have the right effect for the level I am playing, and the visuals of their working (such as being frozen in a cube of Ice) is very creative to precisely show what is happening to you when you get immobilized is very cute.
So far, Cryptic has inserted a basic trading and monetary system, along with banking ability for storage. Ability for weapons and other upgrades by visiting Memory Alpha
I see a great future in this game and see which direction Cryptic is going. For those of you that choose to believe that this game is for you, I will see you soon.
I'm enjoying the game, but I still have my gripes with it. They are fixing autofire, that's good. But the skill tree still sucks as it was not designed with a skill cap, and the Klingon faction lacks some MAJOR content. I want to play Klingon, but the lack of content and restriction to 2 zones really gets me down.
So yeah, at commander 2 on fed and still enjoying the game so far. I'll see if it lasts another 2-3 months or so, and what Cryptic does in that time determines if I keep paying or not.
i'm with you im enjoying the game it could do with more story line missions which is my only gripe atm as the story chains are over so quick other than that fun game liking both ground and space combat.

Well done Cryptic.
I agree completely. Sometimes I think I am enjoying my self way too much, but I still see where improvements should be made.

Posting to support these comments. I'm enjoying the game too, and those are all very valid points. Retooling the entire skill tree, adding Klingon content sooner rather than later, and a number of other things(including adding end game content) need to be done.
The skill tree, as it stands, makes me wonder if you guys didn't suddenly change your minds halfway through designing it and then forgot to actually undo the original work.
