We're absolutely reading these threads.

Hopefully you read this in kind. Many of you like myself are lifers on this game. We will shape it into something even better with time.
Always great to hear from a DEV that they are out there and listening. :)

But the biggest problem with STO at the moment isn't the game, it's the management of customer expectations (or lack thereof because of this lack of communication).

There are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of gamers willing to wait for a better game, but they have no idea if it's coming. At the moment, we only have sparse forum posts with quick blurbs. Even the detailed responses can easily become buried in pages of complaints or questions, because forums are inefficient at communicating one-way.

Forums are great for dialogue and feedback, but terrible for PR communication to the community. Can you please make more/better use of your web site?

I realise the site has information about upcoming content, and there are patch notes. But often, large issues, like Klingon PVE content, or more diplomatic options for missions, tend to get buried or not even presented on the main web site, despite DEVs posting on the forums that they are working on these.

The amount of PR work that went out during Head-Start and Launch was amazing. Can we at least have 25% of that?

In short:

A weekly or twice-weekly update on the main site about the top issues you are aware of, the top issues you are working on, and what (and when) we might expect solutions. Call it a running roadmap, if you will.

Coming from an IT development and project management background, I really believe this would go a long way in the right direction toward customer attraction and retention.

Thank you for your consideration. :)
