Every time I try to launch the game it disconnects my dsl. I have ran other programs and they all work fine, even my xbox 360 works fine. It shuts off my dsl on my modem when it goes to patch the game. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do i correct it?

My isp is at&t and its a 2wire modem. It doesnt shut if off,it just causes the dsl part of the modem to red out, then d/c's.

I am having this same issue, essentially it will get through the launcher updater, then I input login information. At that point it will connect to server and attempt to patch. As soon as it attempts to connect to patch it resets the connection on my dsl modem. I don't know enough about internet protocol to determine if this is the patcher or my isp.

It sounds like your ISP. If the patcher is a peer to peer solution, your ISP may autodetect it and do this to shape your traffic. I don't see what effect local TCP/IP packets could have on your DSL's connection. Local side of things are usually locked out on those units to prevent users from tampering with them.

Maybe it's just faulty firmware resetting under the stress of patching?

several people are having this issue all of them using 2wire dsl modems. There's another thread called patcher kills my modem.
