One thing this game short fall is consequences to our actions, no matter what you do, there is no consequences in the gameworld and this cheapen the experience imo.

What I am proposing is an add-on sector that will be a faction vs faction base on what we have but with different rule set. (Sorry for the language as english isn't my primary one). Let me know if something isn't clear i'll try to explain it with exemple.

The Goal: the goal would be for a faction to drive their enemy out of the sector by capturing its main HQ in that sector. The entire players of the winning faction could benefit from a buff untill they loose a map so if the Federation win, all Federation character get some sort of buff untill another faction win another match.

The environement : Each faction start up with a distant system and there would be a certain number of unexplored planet that are placed randomly around the sector each time a new game start. Each time someone discover a planet, he can rename it and that planet is part of the map untill a faction win.

How it plays : Each player joining would start at rank of LT or LTCMDR and would progress depending on its global contribution. The rank would be reset each map but player could receive bonus depending on their last campaign. Every hour, the player receive a certain amount of requisition point to use for ship and equipment. The player start with the newbie ship and unlike the normal game, the destruction of the ship means the player loose it and need a replacement. Each ship require a certain amount of requisition point and player would be allow to save some template when he dies for quick replacement. Noob ship will always be free but the refresh rate would start at 0 and increase after each loss then decrease if you stop dying for a certain time.

Ship availability still require the minimal rank but is also limited to the faction economical strength. As an exemple, a captain would still fly a defiant but due to a low economical stregnt, the defiant is available only once per 3 hours meaning that if you are defeated in your defiant, your next chance to get it would be only in 3 hours.(this is only an exemple, ship could have a refresh rate from 20 min to 1 day or anything else that keep the game fun). That refresh timer would be bound by account so everyone has the chance to play higher tier ship while limiting it at the same time.

Now each system has a set a value that can be changed by doing PvE missions. The set value would be, Economical strength that help building ship and equipment more rapidly, Defense: how hard it is to actually capture the planet from the other player and loyalty to current faction wich would modify defense and the economical value. There would be a random set of mission affecting each of these statistic. The famed Aid the planet for instance would add to loyalty and economical strenght while an internal security mission could raide de defense value.

On top of it, each map could have some random encounter like borg ship trying to assimilate, supernova, cosmic anomaly, coup d'etat, mission done by the enemies on your system to lower the value, sabotage would be a good exemple.

The biggest problems is how we could handle instance or can this sector handle most players wanting to participate and how we deal with an unbalancing number of players between factions.

Your english is good i wouldnt tell the difference especially with some of the english as a first language speakers here who apparently cant speak it.

Your idea if im getting it right kind of sounds along the lines of Warhammer Onlines open pvp areas and keeps. Frankly im open to anything other then just arenas.

I am not familiar with warhammer ruleset but the idea is simply to add a meaning to all our PvE mission and PvP skirmishs

I played Warhammer beta for months, then played the game for almost a year. The game had alot of potential but in the end the end game content ruined that game as well. I can see where this game would benefit from a Dark Age of Camelot style open realm vs realm.

I think the best thing Cryptic could have done for this game would have been to have 3 factions at the very least. On top of this you need to add a Neutral zone between the conflicting factions and give people a reason to fight there. Whether its planets to fight over that give bonuses to a faction, space stations ect... you get my drift. Then add Borg as a 4th faction NPC based. This game is just way to boring and limited in its current state.
