I'm crossposting this from Ten Forward, because I know more people come here than there and we want to get this out to the biggest audience. If the GMs have a problem with this, let me know, and i'll close the thread!
Greetings, fellow STOers!
Myself and some of the brave crew of Starfleet Dental have worked tirelessly for the last two weeks to bring you this, the first episode of our STO podcast entitled; Star Trek Offline - A Night on Ferenginar.
Join us every Monday when we'll be bringing you News, Tips and the Latest from the front lines, from some of the funniest people playing the game right now. We'll bring you such segments as "Keeping up with the Cardassians", where we'll be detailing the ins and out of one of the upcoming player race, or "Trips Tips", The Enterprise's first Engineer telling you those little things that can help you be a better STO player along with trivia and prizes galore! (Or is that Galor?)
Whether you love the game, or hate it, or are an in-betweener, Ensign to Admiral i'm sure there's a segment or two that you'll enjoy (Including ones about these very forums! Find out if we mentioned you or your post.)
Here are the links you'll need to get underway, please download, listen and send any queries or comments to

(This podcast is fun and informative, especially Shut Up Wesley)
But I couldn't find the "show notes"
Great job! Thanks!
You are probably encoding the mp3 at 128kbps or above which is way way to high.
Whatever you are using to make the mp3s, set it to encode at 56kbps, it will sound the same but with much smaller file size.
You only need that hi encoding rate for like music that you really want to keep as hi fidelity as possible, speech can be much lower with almost no appreciable difference.
I look forward to listening!
Show notes will be up when the website goes live, sorry about that!
Thanks very much for the input, we're all quite new to this so it really is very welcome. Expect the next show to be a bazillion times better.
Nice guys, it was fun to listen to, I think you did a great job. I look forward to hearing more.
We appreciate them all
Last bump, I promise!
