It's getting old piloting my starship like a submarine...
When something is far below or above you have to plan your decent from like 10KM away (or more).
I understand why in general why the developers want a basic XY plane (give or take some depth) for us all to be on. You don't, and I don't want ships to be on the wrong axis, or upside down and all that all the time.
How bout take off the limits on how much you can pitch up and down while the key is being held, and then the ship will be auto level off back to where the current limit when you let off. Someone could pitch all the way to upside down, or do a loop. Just if they let go then the ship will start to veer back to "normal"
Does that sound reasonable?
Also I think it would be nice if there was a roll left, roll right button, and given the choice to roll and pitch to turn if you wanted.
If you didn't remap A and D to the roll buttons everything would still be the same if you like the way it currently is.
how do you descend, I have been finding the corkscrew path to be one of the more ascetically pleasing ways to get to a target that is way below your ship.
I don't need to roll, but if cryptic is going to make vertical missions(one of the patrol missions on the romulan front is like this) then they need to let us fly straight up or down.
