Ok fist off i rather enjoy the game, the combat is reasonably fluid and the interaction in game seems reasonably mature and within keeping to the game. Questing and missions seem although somewhat erratic and a little vague but if you are willing to take the time to read the mission statement you can generally work out what the heck you need to do.
There are however some distinct issues that do need addressing and SHOULD have been addressed in the BETA testing.
* The current mission of choice should offer some sort of compass heading in the mini map as to where to go. Not all of us have a near encyclopedic knowledge of the galaxy and can spend HOURS flying in circles looking for a mission.
* Give us a changing room on our ships! pre-made and saved uniforms should be usable at a moments notice.
* Fleet groups should be by definition be in the same instance if at all possible when in the same area.
* Give the Klingon's a starting mission like the Federation, simply running "fed-ex" missions is not really in keeping with the lore or the feel of the game.
Now i know this will take time to fix and we all know that BETA hot-fixing and trouble shooting SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN A LIVE GAME. We are aware that Atari rushed your beta testing we are aware that you wanted 3 months more to fix the bugs and implement the Klingon missions properly and we are fully aware that many of the server stability issues are a direct response to this, so how about this...
...Stop charging for a month...
....fix the bugs you can in that time...
....put in the intended release content...
...and polish the game to the brilliant mirror shine we all know it could have.
But what about the life time subscribers, we have already payed for our subscriptions, we wont get anything out of this at all!!!
ok i hear you so how about this, you gain access to a few toys the rest of us simply wont get.
perhaps:
* A Borg infected skin for your ship to go with your Borg crew men?
* Access to a rare ship at early levels such as the NX-01 or The TOS Enterprise?
* Perhaps even giving them access to a limited number of the already in game promotional offers?
None of this (with the possible exception of the Archer era ships) would not be hard to implement and offer a unique gift for the lifetime subscribers during this "uber patching" phase of development.
its just a though but if the game is to survive for any real length of time these issues have to be addressed.
