Keeping the Klingons at Bay Mission K7

I got this mission from Capt. Mackenzie Calhoun at Deep Space 7
The Klingons and thier allies are attacking ships in the Neutral Zone. If we dont stop them here, they will be in orbit around Vulcan in a week.

I need you in the Neutral Zone. Show them that Starfleet's not afraid to fire phasers.

I havent been able to locate anywhere to do this mission. My mission trackers says:
  1. Keeping the Klingons at Bay
  2. Win any Hostile Engagement.

Ive been in a few "hostile" engagements around the area. No mission credit yet.

So maybe someone could enlighten me. Where am I to do this mission?

Click on triangle next to minimap. Select PvP queues. Highlight one that says Hostile Engagement and click Join. Go about your business while you wait for the 60 sec. countdown to enter the match to start. Enter and win. Try again if your team didn't win.

Yeah, I've had a hard time with these missions as well. The only time I've won was in a Ground PvP mission. The space ones I always loose. I finally got my cruiser at LtCmdr1 so I'm thinking about heading back and seeing if the upgraded ship makes any difference in the space engagements.

I think there needs to be a bit more clarity in just what it takes to complete this mission!

I, like the OP, have been all through the Neutral Zone, in and out of Enemy Signal combats, entered several systems, defeated 9 Klingon Platoons in each one and.......

Only now, after reading this thread do I find out the particulars as to HOW to actually commence the mission!

    We are NOT mind readers.

I would, though, for future reference, appreciate just HOW anyone else figured out how to do this?

When the instructions mentioned the MiniMap, I figured it meant any red zone showing up in the MiniMap. ???

Is it supposed to be a specific hostile engagement? I have won many Capture and Hold games, but the quest will not complete for me.

I believe many of the systems in the Neutral Zone are actually labeled, "blah blah blah (ground/space hostile engagement). I would think any of those would do, but again it's not working for me.

I concur, I have been involved in several wins for the Feds on capture and hold pvp runs and no update on this mission. We must be missing something.
