    I found out the burn too :) It spooked me when I was on barren planet and ran over one and I start getting messages "You are under attack!"

    And let's not forgot earth-style forests complete with rain on a planet that looks like Jupiter. I'm surprised the compression on the Gas Giant didn't squash my Away Team.

    Lets not forget the absolute lack of anything other than plants. And the one 'animal' I found was a cocoon.

    The explosion ... thing... (that plot device thing - I still dont understand the idea of one supernova going to destroy the entire galaxy but w/e) apparently scattered asteroids EVERYWHERE too

    I see animals all the time. Of course... they are the ones that the klingons and Gorn have trained to eat me...
