Why all the tactical hate Cryptic?

Seems like Tactical Officers are getting the brunt of the major nerfs, both open and stealth at the moment. Cruiser captains are pretty much fairly balanced if you don't consider the insane turning ratio especially on the notorious Galaxy Class. As the stands right now, Science is the most OP in both PvE and PvP, how about nerfing that next?

The shield nerf is a really major nerf to Tactical Captains, who really needed the shields because of the pitiful hulls, Galaxy have far greater survivability, and science have insane survivability couple that with extreme CC abilities, plus firepower that is at least good enough for them to solo multiple Borg Cubes with ease, Maybe there are too many Tactical Captains and this is a way to get players to re-roll?

    errum play tactical in a cruiser thats what i like to do. The extra turn speed helps a great deal. Not to mention 70% extra damage with 8 weapons can be nice.

    Yes the escort is dead. There I said it. To try controling a fighter escort ship from the thrid person is silly.

    Please dont scream about solving one NERF by Making another NERF.

    Always hated NERFS instead scream for Un-NERF'ing.

    It's a negative downwards spiral of Jealosy that makes people cry for NERF's. Instead ask them to boost Your NERF'ed class insted of NERF'ing everyone else.

    A big problem of all MMO RPG's is the insane NERF sticmk that NERF's games to death.

    They NERF and Add Dimishing returns etc, until it's not even fun to play anymore.

    Yeah, this is the part I hate about new games. Developers tend to use the Nerf bat really hard once critical issues have been fixed, Just look at Age of Conan, just under 2 months after launch they nerfed the game so hard it was horrible to play, so many people quit the game, each patch was nerf, nerf, stealth nerf and more nerfs and couple that with failed promises.

    I've often wondered if it would be better to, instead of nerf one class, to strengthen the lacking ones. I guess it's a horrible idea though, since no one seems to do it.

    You DO know that a tac captain doesn't have to fly an escort, and vice versa?

    Yes, but they get the most benefit if they do, because of the tactical skills they are able to train their BOs in.

    Exactly, and that is where the bulk of the escort DPS comes into play. Sure you could go for more survivability with Cruisers or Science ships, but then why pick an Tactical Officer to begin with? Right now, honestly my type IV 'green' shield is far better than my Admirals IX rare shield! Go figure that one out.

    See, here is the weird part. In my shield display it clearly says 6375 across the board which that 'was' the old value, but it doesn't act that like, at all. My shields go down faster than Paris HIlton does even on way level level mobs.

    Lol this. My Necro went from pretty subpar to godly status and then to lower then muck status in two weeks. NOt fun imo.

    Btw, what nerf? Did they announced something?

    I do, but this issue only happened last patch though. And others in my fleet have also noticed strange shield issues with Escorts only, others don't seem to be effected at all.

    I get the odd shield issue because I have a runabout and all my ship gear stats are borked. They say once I rank up to a new ship, it will fix. Why in blazes can't the devs fix it now?

    I hadn't checked when I posted before, but I am in game now and my Escort's shields are normal. :confused:

    I am only Commander, but everything is as it should be.

    It wouldn't be so bad if the camera would just lock and stay where I put it; like right behind my Defiant so anything that's in front of me is toasted. No. It has to fly around and do it's own thing making cannons a royal fiddle to use and spoiling the fun of being in a small, heavily armed and highly manuverable ship.

    I want the thing to be pulling manuvers that make me queezy to watch.
