Proposal for Modification of Leveling requirements

Hello STO Community,

I know I haven't posted her much or at all, but I came up with an idea to all the people that say it's wayy to easy to level. I personally think it's nice not grind as much, but in all honesyt, games I remember most and take pride in it takes effort to become "the last level". But I agree to the sentiment that it's too easy to get to admiral in a short amount of time.

So My Proposal is this.
Leave Enisgn To Lt the way it is as well as Lt. To Lt Commander
But INcrease the lvl spread by + 2/3 successively per rank from Lt Commander to Commander (13 Grades) ommander to captaint 16 grades and Admiral 20 grades or something to that likeness. It should be progressively harder to become commander, capt, and rear admiral.

This would allow people to obtain more points to spend in their Skill trees.

Also I thought it shouldn't be easy to become Capt or Admiral and to bring in the social aspect of the game, maybe add a requirement of some raidesode to become Capt (5-man) and Admiral (20-man). I like to think that to become captain you have the support of many members and as far as admiral even more.

Any comments?

Commander Vork
Grade 1
USS Relativity
But those are my ideas. Any comments :)

The problem is that the content doesn't exist to support a lengthening of those levels. If it did, Cryptic probably would have done this already.

Plus, that ship has already sailed. There is no point in trying to alter it now. There is absolutely no chance that this will happen. None.

If increasing the grade wont' work, then how about increasing the amount of point per rank then. I have a feeling this will happen sooner than later. I still think it's a good idea to make it harder to obtain Capt or Admiral a series of events need to happen and may require a 5-man or 20 man event or fleet action. I would feel really weird in a universe with nothing but Admirals hehe :)

It is way to easy to level. For Cryptic to release the game knowing that they have next to zero end game content and then to make it extremely easy to level is like planning to fail. Its like they dont want any one to play but casual people once or twice a month. I think maybe they used to sell cable channels like hbo or showtime you only watch once a month but you pay 15 bucks for just encase the new season of tutors or big love comes out.

This would kinda make sense if network bandwidth costs were really high but they are not high at all.
