As a community we need to face it. All these server crashes are simply OUR fault. If there weren't so many of us wanting to play this game then we wouldn't be having these problems. To fix the problem I suggest that all of YOU stop playing the game immediately. This will drastically increase server stability and allow ME to play the game without any problems. I think this is a wonderful idea and hope you will all be able to impliment it immediately.
That there are queues, of course, is a side effect of popularity. But that's it.
That the server crashes, or drops connections randomly when zoning, and all the rest... that is Cryptic's fault and nobody else's, plain and simple. Speaking as a programmer, there is nothing inherent in the number of connections that will make a program crash and burn. Bugs or failure to plan (e.g., how much memory you need for that number of connections) or failure to monitor, now THOSE are what get a server to crash.
Since I wasn't part of either programming STO or planning its infrastructure, I see absolutely no reason why I should feel guilty about it.
Plus, they're getting paid for it. It's not like I'm some freeloader just crowding their servers for free or anything. Why should I feel guilty for their failure to provide an adequate service for my money?

Think you missed the humor and sarcasm in the OP's post.

Thank you for your cooperation in advance.
Have no fear, in 2 months time there will never be a queue here again.
Well, I suppose a smiley or two would have helped make it clear if it's a joke or not. I HAVE seen such posts made in all seriousness and earnesty in other games. Usually they follow up with something that clears it up that they really meant it. I guess some people just need to feel guilty or something.

I assure you there wasn't any humor in the OP's post.
