Now ive played every Star Trek game out one of the best being Star trek Bridge Commander with the KM Mod of course. When i heard that Star Trek Online was coming out i was delighted as we have been waiting for a long time so a Star Trek MMO.The more i play Star Trek Online the more it reminds me of Star Trek Legacy i hated legacy and im hating Star Trek Online its Star Trek Legacy with a new name now people are gonna say its different to legacy thats true its a larger game you can travel to different systems theres ground combat which also sucks but all the same TRIBBLE thats in legacy is in Star Trek Online Poor Ship Controls
No Pitch or Roll . To me Star Trek Online is a huge let down i maxed out my rank in 5 days and run out of missons 6 if i could go back in time ide buy rather buy a £40 offline Pc game than play a Console game that was converted to pc with a few new features.
I Hoped.......
To be able to explore my ship
Have real life humans as my crew
Travel in warp through subspace Like Star Trek Bridge Commander
Have COMPLETE Control of my Ship Roll 360 and Pitch 360
Have the option of Manual targetting,Subsystem Targetting, (Not a Stupid Toolbar Command)
Have Dorsal and Ventral Shields and targeting (as the Klingon BOP has weak armor on its lower Dorsal hull)
Option to beam or use shuttles to visit another players vessel.
Personal Quarters and a Personal Space to Customize like the captains Ready Room.
Ability to use Cargo bays to store items rather than on person.
well you get my point ......
some of you are going to disagree with some or all that i have stated thats your right but most are going to agree with me we need Star Trek Online to reflect what Star Trek Is like to us the fans and players.not a quick xbox 360 game on a larger scale with online at the end of the name just so they could make money off us.
not sure im telling the truth check out Star trek Legacy and see how alike these two games are in space
STO is more like the SFC games than it is like legacy. it's a bit dumbed down compared to even sfc3, but it definitely shares basic mechanic similarities. most of teh basic strats and tactics in teh SFC games can be applied to STO .
your problem seems to be that you wanted bridge commander online, which STO clearly is not.
me personally i didn't like bridge commander. looked to much like a space fighter game in some ways instead of big starships fighting. if i want a good space fighter i'll play freelancer.
I don't like using periods to end sentences I just like talking in one full big sentence to make it hard for others to read what I'm trying to say who needs these periods and proper formatting anyway LULZ GAMESUCKS LULZ.
On a serious note, comparing this game to Star Trek Bridge Commander in any way is a smack in the face to BC, easily the best Star Trek game and it doesn't look like it's going to be dethroned any time soon.

dude whos comparing STO to BC im not
maybe you should use periodsin your post. i do so idiots like you can read easier and not get confused because the misread a post or should i put (read Carefully) for you nextime.
Saying that you wanted real human players as your crew reminds me of my first thought on that matter when I heard about a Star trek MMO years ago. And that thought was: 'That would never work'.
Who is going to pay 15 Dollars a month to be ordered around by someone else? Not me, and not many other people either if I know anything about human nature. The decision to make everyone a captain of their own ship crewed by NPCs was the only practical thing to do.
As for most of the other stuff, since you can do that with Bridge Commander, what's your problem? go and play that, if like.
Well, I agree with some of what the OP is saying. The problem is everyone wants STO to be what they think it should be. Thats thousands of different opinions on how STO should be. This problem exists already with the Star Wars junkies and their games. So to be honest, I understand what you are saying, but the reality of it is STO is what it is. Now the only thing good about an MMO is content can always be added to try and please the masses. So, as a trekkie enjoy STO for what it is currently.
