Why does Cryptic have such a whacked out way of typing/communicating with players?
Of all the other games I played, all you had to do was type a simple command like: /tell Bob. This would get the job done.
But in STO, I have to type: /tell Bob@hamx_monklhau. During combat I just ignore all tells due to this.
I know there is an easier way to reply to a point when speaking to follow players your friends with. We all know its easier to type when "teamed" up. And best of all, using VENT eliminates typing.
The "@" system is to allow for more than one person to have a specific character name. Only the account names are unique. At least, that's what it is as far as I'm aware.

The "Backspace" key will reply to any tell. Please try a little research before ranting.
