The Servers are down again.

Do you get the feeling now that you are paying to play a game
that is still in Beta ( maybe Alpha + )

Wake the Hell up guys. See it for what it really is - BETA SOFTWARE.

This may not be the worst release for a MMO. But this ISNT the first MMO this
company has released.

These are supposed to be experienced MMO programmers/developer or whatever you
want to call them ( im not a Janitor i'm a maintance engineer ( yeh right ) ) .

20 percent plus unemployment = a Depression not a Recession

This screams Star Trek on/off line = BETA

No, I get the feeling I'm playing a recently launched game. The same feeling I got when I started CO, Aion, AoC, LotRO, Tabula Rasa, and several other games over the last few years. :)

And I don't know where you're getting your 20% unemployment from. The US rate is 10.6%.

Yes, because server stability is totally related to the game's overall completion... claiming the game isn't done because it has a lot of downtime is stupid. There has not been a single MMORPG that hasn't had issues after release. Not one. Doesn't matter how many of these games the dev has made before, there will be problems. STO has a massive amount of players allready; after all it's Star Trek and every trekkie fanboi/fangurl that's remotely interesting in computer games will be playing it. That's a lot of people. Add the casual players and hardcore MMO fans trying something new and you have a staggering amount of people playing. Regular QA or a closed beta doesn't have half this amount of players and as a result won't bump into these issues.

I am beginning to think this game runs on some old thrown together hardware that was discarded years ago.

When the game runs this is a fun and totally engrossing experience. Unfortunately it doesnt stay running. I dont believe it is a design flaw but some really bad hardware that causes all these probs.
