I'm wondering if it's possible to get a Refund on a lifetime subscription. I have tried Tickets and Email to get in contact with cryptic, but over the past five days of trying, they have yet to anwser me and I am not going to call the billing department yet, as I live in england and the charge would be astronmical.
Can anyone suggest anything? I'm getting a bit sick of their customer service and may just dispute the purchase on Paypal.
Good luck, because it;s not gonna happen. When you signed the EULA, and terms of service also when you bought the lifetime sub you are pretty much screwed. Do you think any MMO gives players a refund for buying a pre-paid card scratching off the key and using it? No. You will not get a refund, sorry.
yeah I doubt it. good luck with that dispute though. you paid for something and got it, don't see why they would refund you. I bet it even says somewhere no refunds but I don't care enough to go look.

Sorry to put a bee in your bonnet but i got one. You have to call though.
Oh, they do have an english office? Awesome, I'll look that up as soon as possible. And aye, I've heard people -have- been refunded.
..Er, any idea -where- it is?
Still, thank you Lord.Funk and Slackjaw.
Also, Pre-paid card =/= Lifetime. Lifetime is a very expensive offer that was released before the product went live. I should have the choice to refund it as I bought it prior to trying the game(A mistake, I know)
The page where you ordered your Lifetime Subscription included some fairly clear terms including the words "non refundable".
Rather than pursue a refund and just get yourself more frustrated, I suggest asking the community for help with whatever issue it is that is causing you to want a refund (assuming it is a technical issue, and not just a case of buyer's remorse).
You can't get a refund on a subscription. All you can do is cancel, you pay to subscribe, and seeing they gave you the subscription, you can't be refunded, unless they didn't give you it, which they did. Sorry.

As I have heard it, it is possible to get a refund on a Life-Time Subscription so long as they are still within the 30 days free that came with the game. Once they are outside of that, there is no chance to get a refund on it.
You can get a refund before the first 30 days ends because of the free 30 days that comes with the box. Your lifetime hasn't kicked in yet ergo you haven't paid for squat. After the 30 days though you are going to be screwed.

Best option. Complain via Paypal about the fact the product has not met end-user requirements and you feel it is not within compliance of Quality Assuracne in your opinion. this will allow a fourm for discussion with paypal involved since they have a policy against products not being to a decent standard. This isn't my view, but if it's yours then you can lodge a complaint with them instead. I'd highly recommend this route. Also check for other information. There are other loop holes to this end.

I imagine people could, up to the point of the 30 days included with the retail purchase expiring. I think once the actual subscription kicks in (after the initial 30 days) the refund may not be coming.
Eh, just bite the bullet and move along. I spend about twice that much everytime I take my car in for maintenance or the equivlalent of a few weekends out drinking and dining, or the equivalent of 4 Xbox/PS3 Games.

I would certainly ask for a photo copy of the "signed" EULA. Also, EULA's change with each patch or version of the game. Judges don't like forfeitures and would probably rule for a much lower pro-rate value than what Cryptic would come up with.
EULA's aren't the end all be all in a legal manner. It's till up to a judge to decide what is legal and what is not.
You can definitely get a refund if you're persistent and won't accept no for an answer. Just let them know you're still in your first free 30 days that came with the retail version and that you weren't aware there would be constant server outages and stability issues when you made your purchase.
After the first 30 days are up, it will become a bit harder to get a refund since you'll be technically using your subscription at that point. At that point you'll have to be able to prove that the service isn't performing up to expectations.
You can get a refund. You might only have 30 days to do it, but they also did a refund for their other game's lifetime memberships. Don't rely on people who post in the forums for a factual answer. Your state laws will dictate if you can get a refund or not, but Crytic has issued refunds for lifetime memberships regardless.
Actually i've just realised... we have the right to cancel anything within a 30-day period. It's a right in the uk to my knoweldge. If i'm wrong correct me. So there you go... They can't actually refuse it... otherewise i'd poke holes in the agreement and look into it.
* Goods should be of satisfactory quality and as described.
The Sale of Goods Act 1979 ensures goods should be of satisfactory quality and fit to do the job intended for them. Fit for purpose means both generally e.g. hi-fi speakers should play music but also specifically for any purpose you've asked. E.g. if you've asked will they fit my Hitachi Hi-fi?', and been told yes, but it doesn't then it wasn't fit for the purpose specified.
Thus saying that you can actually argue anything you have bought does not fufil specified requriements.

Also, my problem? The times I get to play due to studying and work are normally the time Cryptic take the servers offline..

A lot of people, myself included, regret not snatching up the lifetime membership when it was available with all the perks.
Being that its an american company, Id expect an American number...
It IS a US company isnt it?
